Bregon has some important uses, but not many. Unfortunately Bregon does not have an AOE beside his AOE Skill. Bregon does hit pretty hard and can lower the monster's Def. Bregon can be useful for Earl Dead Front before Level(2moons gold) 108. He may only hit one monster, but having a high amount of damage being done makes him useful for KSing, rather than hitting more but doing less damage.
Another good use for Bregon is in PvP mainly against Bagis and maybe Aks before Level(2moons dil) 108. Before Levle 108 Bregon is real useful against Bagis. Bagis have a Buff that makes it so Tentator and Anathema's -% Res Debuffs won't work. This being said makes Tentator and Anathema real useless for PvPing Bagis.
Bregoncan't Debuff Bagis either, BUT before Level 108 Bregon hits the hardest making him useful in a PvP against Bagis. Aks have a lot of Def, so the -Def Debuff can help, but Bregon really Needs to be Level 5 for it to be useful in both situations, if not Tentator most likely is a better choice.
Anathema in general has a lot of more things going for it than Bregon though. Anathema at least has an AOE attack, though its pretty bad, but either way its an AOE. Unlike Bregon, Anathema was more HP and Def. At Level 5 it is the only ideal pet really recommended to use for training in Doomed/Cursed Maze from Levels 105-108. In addition to that Anathema is very useful for Bosses, including Dead Front.
Anathema at Level 5 has the ability to Lower a Monster's Res by 11%. This makes it a lot easier for people in the part who use different elemental gems for their weapons, or for Mages so that they can dish out more damage. This is why we recommend keeping Anathema in the higher Levels. We still use Anathema at times in Dead Fronts in Duke.
It sounds weird, but with other Summoners using Muspel to Tank, one less won't make a major difference, so wqe use Anathema for his De-Buff to help everyone out when we can. This same idea can be used for other Bosses. Anathema is especially useful when it comes to Abyss Parties as well. Sometimes various types of damage is needed to kill Bosses in Abyss. Lowering the Elemental Res on certain High Res Bosses makes it easier for the Party to Kill.
